Welcome to our beautiful home in Powder Horn Mountain! Come and enjoy the natural beauty of this hidden paradise. With 7 miles of trails, community campground, three ponds, and located on a state stocked trout stream, (Elk Creek) you have found the mecca for the outdoor enthusiast. This is the perfect four season cabin getaway, with the Appalachian Mountaineers football, skiing,snowboarding, or tubing at any one of our many ski resorts like Beech Mountain or Sugar mountain, festivals and outdoor concerts at the Jones House on King Street in downtown Boone, and eye catching leaf tours and winery visits in the fall.... Merlefest is just a 30 minute drive from Powder Horn which also makes this a perfect place to rest your head for events from North Wilkesboro to Banner Elk! Stroll Main Street in Blowing Rock full of art galleries, boutiques, local artisans, ice cream shops, and the perfect mix of restaurants and atmospheres for every one. Make sure you check out one of our many local kayaking/float adventures while you are here.... River Girl Fishing Company or WAHOO's Adventures to name a couple we like. There is a ton of wildlife by the house from deer to palliated woodpeckers, open the windows at night to hear the coyotes howl at the moon!!! The house is very cozy the kitchen is full of everything you need, Keurig coffee maker, crockpot, toaster, blender, pots, pans, utensils, glassware, etc. There is a microwave and a mini stove and stove top. Full size fridge. All Linens are provided including sheets and towels. Main floor has two bedrooms with queen beds and they share the main floor bath that is a tub shower combo. The washer and dryer are in the basement we do ask for kiddos and pets not to go to the basement it is an unfinished space. Upstairs is bedroom 3 with queen bed and 3/4 bath claw foot tub only, no shower. Wood burning fireplace. Games and a collection of movies provided. Internet is wireless internet with Riverstreet. Unlimited data and fiber speed based. Can be spotty in a storm so we still recommend downloading that favorite binge TV show before you arrive! Best cell service is through Verizon. Dogs are allowed. There is a $50 per pet fee. Renters have full access to the fitness center, community pool (during season), hiking trails, tennis court, fishing in the lakes, chapel services on Sunday, playground, and even the paddleboats during the summer. This is such a perfect escape for everyone! Each bedroom and the main living room has a flat screen TV and are Roku. There is a gas and charcoal grill for the grilling enthusiast. All renters are provided one roll of Toilet Paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towel in the kitchen. Check in is 4pm check out is 10 am.

  I reserved the cabin online, supper easy. When we arrived we found the cabin to be clean and full of fun things for our grandsons to do. We had a wonderful visit, (didn't want to leave). Anyone looking for a safe out of the way place for vacation, then this is it! One concern, my fault for not asking, but the place is not handicap accessable. Just so you know.

  I spoke with property management the week before to extend our stay an extra day because the pool was advertised as available. Two days before our trip, I was notified it the pool would be closed. I asked if there could be reimbursement for the fact that this property main feature is there is a swimming pool and we could not use it. The alternatives offered were not feasible for our family and was not offered any alternative that worked for our family. We felt that we wasted our money staying at this location as the services advertised were not offered.

  We really enjoyed our stay at Pine O'Clock. Good views and the remote feeling that we were hoping for in a much needed mountain getaway. Had all the amenities we needed. The drive into Boone is about 30 minutes and we recommend using Apple Maps as it will take you on the paved roads. My truck GPS took us on some gravel mountain roads which was kind of fun, but if you don't have the vehicle for it, probably best to stay on the paved roads. Would definitely book this property again.

  This is a beautiful cabin, it is very nice and quiet area. Great place to unwind and relax. We enjoyed our stay and love the amenities (pool, swimming holes and paddle boats).   The description was not misleading, but expected more for the $. No view, not a great outdoor seating area, and few window screens, which prevented us from enjoying the fresh mountain air! The whole community lost water for a day, and we had a mouse visit. (Advice: Don't leave food out overnight, even wrapped! Basement needs attention from an exterminator.) On the plus side, the property manager made everything right. She went above and beyond to make our week memorable. I would definitely rent one of her properties again, but probably not this particular cabin! P.S.: This place has an amazing DVD collection!

  The cabin itself was very nice and cozy. It was very clean as well. The location was good. The cabin did not have a washer or dryer which was a let down and some of the power outlets did not work. Overall the stay was nice.
