Eagle Point is a charming and private half-duplex cabin located in the quiet, gated community of Powder Horn Mountain in Deep Gap, North Carolina. Perfect for a small group or couple’s getaway, this inviting home offers sweeping mountain views from every level, a wraparound deck, and easy access with just one to two steps into the main level.

The main level features an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area along with a king bedroom and ensuite full bathroom. The upper level includes a bedroom with two twin beds and a full ensuite bathroom, as well as a small loft area. The layout provides both comfort and privacy while maintaining a cozy, welcoming feel.

Outdoor living is a highlight, with a wraparound deck that showcases the surrounding mountain views and provides the perfect setting for relaxing or dining outdoors.

Families will enjoy Tweetsie Railroad, Elk Creek’s Lil Hidden Gem, and horseback riding at Leatherwood, while winter visitors can take advantage of nearby skiing at Sugar Mountain, Appalachian Ski Mountain, and Beech Mountain.   This was our first trip to the community. We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean, did have a "musty" smell that seemed to get better with the use of box fans we brought. Communication was always good! We enjoyed walking the trails. Not a lot in the area for restuarants or stores, so as they mention pick up groceries before you get there. Boone is about 30 moms away. Also depending on which way you come in, part of the road is unsaved. The pool area was very clean, we really enjoyed our stay!

  My family of four had a wonderful time at Eagle Point. The cabin was clean, well-prepared for our stay, and the view is spectacular. The Powder Horn community is quiet, peaceful and delightful. We took advantage of the game room, hiking trails and the campground, where firewood is provided for free. We even tried our hand at disc golf. The short term rental team at Moonlight impressed with timely and informative communication, and service that is above and beyond the normal rental experience.

  The inside of the property was clean and very comfortable. Well-stocked kitchen. Easy drive in and the community amenities were great. Nice view but don't plan on spending much time on the patio; the chairs weren't comfortable and the outside was crawling with spiders and ants. But this place is a great value for the money.
